SHED-ing is a design for a tiny home with two movable track-mounted roofs that allow the home to expand its footprint from 25m² in winter to 75m² in summer. In winter, the compacted roofs maximize insulation, keeping the interior warm. In summer, the roofs extend, shedding insulation to create more living space and shaded outdoor areas. This design balances seasonal needs offering a cozy, insulated home in winter and a spacious, airy environment in summer which can be built in just about any desired geographic location.
